I have been involved with church activities since about the age of eight. Having learnt the organ from the age of 13, it soon became my personal mission to use music as a means of reflecting my own faith and helping others to grow in theirs. I studied Music at Manchester University and completed my postgraduate teaching qualification at Hull University.
During my working life I have taught in a variety of schools and colleges, teaching pupils from nursery age up to 96. As a family we moved to Limpley Stoke in 1996 and have been involved with St Mary’s ever since. Our three children and five grandchildren all live locally so we lead a busy family life!
After retiring as Director of Music of Monkton Prep School in 2016 I have continued with my musical interests, conducting Bath AllComers Orchestra and Norland College (Nannies) Choir and I play the organ in various churches. It will be a pleasure to welcome you at St Mary’s and serve the parish as Churchwarden.
