Karen Roberts-Wray
Churchwarden

I have been a churchwarden for St John’s in Hinton Charterhouse for six years. I particularly enjoy organising activities which involve children, families and people from the community. In the last few years we’ve held children’s nature days, planted wildflowers and introduced no-mow areas to encourage wildlife, held volunteering days to tidy and repair the building and churchyard. Special services have included a Pop-Up Nativity, Harvest Tea, Afternoon Family Services, Christingle, Easter Egg Hunt, Summer Picnics and more.

I’m self-employed as a writer, researcher, and admin person, and I’ve lived in the village for eight years. Previously, I worked in London as a journalist and TV producer. I’m an activist involved in several climate and social justice groups promoting the urgent need for change to protect people and planet.
