Nicola Smith – Freshford, Limpley Stoke and Hinton Charterhouse Parish Magazine Editor

I am a local Limpley Stoke mum who  has lived here for just under 7 years with my husband James and our two children .  I juggle my role as editor of the Freshford, Limpley Stoke and Hinton Charterhouse Parish Magazine, alongside my job working from home for an Interim Recruitment Consultancy.  (In a past life I was a Management Consultant and then an HR Manager for a Law Firm.)  In all of these other roles I have strong experience of delivering communications across all channels, hence my involvement in the local magazine.

My goal is to work with our Priest-in-Charge, Mike Taylor as well as the Church Wardens and other members of our local Church community to share interesting news about the Church in this area.  At the same time, I work hard to network locally and to gather and share other local news, information, events etc – we have a wide distribution to over 450 households in the Parish so want the topics to be as engaging and wide-ranging as possible.  We are the one publication which covers all 3 villages in the Parish and want to make the most of the wide variety of activities that take places in the 3 very active villages.

At the same time, I am responsible for managing the advertising within the Magazine.

I am always interested to identify any changes and improvements that we can make to the Parish Magazine going forward.  Please do feel free to let me know your comments and suggestions via the usual email address: bakeryadmin@gmail.com
