Having lifted the suspension of the Parish, I am now Rector of this lovely community of Freshford, Limpley Stoke and Hinton Charterhouse. This is now my eighth year and it has been a joy to work with the communities and people of this parish. We continue to offer a weekly parish service, though much has changed since Covid took over our lives. Only some of the services are now communion services and the remainder of morning worship. We run a Fresh Expression service for families on the third Sunday of each month at 4.00 pm, after morning sports activities, this has grown a little since we moved it from the morning, and this is held in St John’s Hinton Charterhouse. Each fifth Sunday we hold Café Church, now in our newly refurbished St Peter’s Church in Freshford. Our numbers remain roughly the same and we are enjoying and experimenting with the newly refurbished church. I am still a foundation governor at the church primary school in Freshford and continue to play my part in village life. My wife continues in her role as a dialysis nurse based at Frome community hospital. Many have come to know my mum Celia, who has lived with us for many years now and become a friend to many of our members. We love living here and working with and around you.
